As Santa Claus comes to town via Lacombe’s annual Santa Claus Parade, there will be some road closures in effect on Thursday, Nov. 29.

Residents should note a number of detours have been set up around the parade route, and on-street parking on the roads blocked off will also be affected by the closure.

Parking can be found around the parade route, and in designated public parking lots in the downtown area.

The parade will begin on the north end of Heritage Way/45 St., turn briefly west on 54 Ave, before making its way south past the Lacombe Centre Mall. From there, the parade will again turn west on 52 Ave., travel past the Royal Canadian Legion building, then south down 50 St. before turning on 50 Ave. and make its way towards the Lacombe Memorial Centre where the lights will be lit up shortly after Santa’s arrival.
