Blackfalds RCMP charge two in town area after discovering drugs, weapons, stolen cheques

Blackfalds RCMP and the Central Alberta district integrated crime unit have arrested two suspects while on patrols in the Blackfalds area.

On Thursday, Nov. 8, the Central Alberta district integrated crime unit identified a suspicious vehicle, which led them to an individual known to police exiting a liquor establishment. Further investigation revealed multiple breaches of release conditions, as well as the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, firearms, weapons and possession of stolen cheque charges.

Both the individual and a second suspect were arrested and are currently in custody and awaiting a bail hearing. RCMP, however, are not releasing names as charges have yet to be sworn before hte courts.
