Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lacombe and District accept a donation of $3,500 from the Lacombe Oilmen.
The proceeds will go towards volunteer mentor recruitment, intake, screening and pre-match training, and couldn’t have come at a more critical time as BBBS wraps their 40 Mentors in 40 Days campaign.

According to BBBS Executive Director Crystal Zens, there were a total of 32 new applicants, but they are always in need of new mentors in order to get kids off their wait list.

“We want to thank the Lacombe Oilmen’s team and are so excited to also announce they have recently been named our 2018 Organization of the Year,” Zens said. “The Lacombe Oilmen believe in the power of mentoring and we are so lucky to have them in our corner.”

The Oilmen will be recognized at the Great Big Christmas Dinner and Awards Night Monday, Dec. 2 at the Lacombe Memorial Centre.
