Aquatics registration about to get easier in Lacombe

The City of Lacombe is excited to announce that Kinsmen Aquatic Centre (KAC) program registration is about to get easier than ever with the launch of PerfectMind, the city’s new recreation software for online registrations, facility bookings, and memberships.

Launching May 1, 2019, PerfectMind will offer pool patrons a better online experience with searching, registering, and paying for recreation programs. The new software replaces the aged MaxEnterprise, which no longer has technical support.

“We’re excited to launch PerfectMind for summer pool registrations,” said Kim Fraser, the City’s aquatic programmer. “We’ve heard people’s frustration with the old system, and we’re excited to respond to the changing needs of our patrons and our organization.”

Pool patrons with an active account will find their account details transferred to PerfectMind for them by city staff. Accounts are “active” if the patron has already registered in an aquatics program in May or June, booked a recreation facility for a date after April 30, or has a current KAC membership and an email address was supplied. The system will send an email to the patron with their PerfectMind login instructions.

Patrons without a current registration, booking, or membership can simply create their up to date PerfectMind account online, or have pool staff assist them.

“Software changes are never easy, so we really appreciate people’s patience while we do this,” said Recreation and Culture Manager Sandi Stewart. “We can help people through any scenario. If you’re using a pool 10-use pass, for example, we’ll transfer your details at your next visit and give you a new scan card. Just plan on a few extra minutes for check-in.”

The city launches the new system on May 1, 2019, so city staff will not be able to register or sell pool memberships on April 29 and 30 while the change is underway.

“If you need to register for programs that take place on those days or very early in May, just register ahead of time and we will move you over,” said Stewart.

PerfectMind will be available for 24/7 public access on May 1. The city’s full Summer Session programming will be available for review a week later, with registrations opening on May 16.

Valid KAC membership holders can register earlier on May 14.

Everyone is advised to create or log in to their account starting May 1 to test the system, check their details, and resolve any issues beforehand.
