Ontario Farm Market Summary for Thursday, November 14

At OLEX and Brussels, 1,075 fed cattle were on offer.  At OLEX, cows are selling on a higher market. At Brussels, veal is trading actively at steady prices.

Cows:                         $51.00 – $63.00

From Ontario Pork:

Quebec’s average price on Wednesday was $190.47 per ckg D.W. 100 index.

The previous markets day’s CME Constructed (201) price was $59.58 U.S. per cwt. D.W.

Compared to the previous day this was up $0.94

Today we expect the CME Constructed (201) price to decrease $0.87

At the Chicago Board of Trade, corn futures are slightly higher:

DEC19 up  1/2 at $3.75  3/4

DEC20 up 1 at $3.98  1/2

Soybean futures are slightly lower:

JAN20 down 3 1/2 at $9.11  3/4

NOV20 down 4 1/4 at $9.51

Chatham-Kent cash corn:         $5.06 – $5.11/bu, $199.10 – $201.07/mt. Chatham-Kent cash soybeans:         $11.32 – $11.32/bu, $415.85 – $415.85/mt.

Grain Farmers Terminal Wheat Bids: Soft White $7.17/bu, $263.45/mt. Hard Red $7.36/bu, $270.44/mt, Soft Red $7.03/bu, $258.31/mt, Red Spring $6.40/bu, $235.16/mt.
