On June 6 the Central Alberta Buccaneers made history.

For the first time in 11 Alberta Football League seasons, the Bucs beat the Calgary Wolfpack.

With their back and forth 34-28 victory, the Bucs also solidified their hold on second place in the standings, heading into a crucial game against the expansion St. Albert Stars.

Byron Stearns threw for four touchdowns in the victory, two to Jamieson Blakehorn and one to both Dylan Vanier and Corey Pusey.

More to come.
