Lacombe celebrated Canada Day with different events throughout the day. Starting with a pancake breakfast then on to Blacksmith demonstrations at the Blacksmith's Shop Museum. There was also a fireworks display at Cranna Lake at dusk.

And Lacombe wasn't the only location you could find celebrations. Blackfalds hosted their annual Slo-pitch challenge, while local rodeo pros competed at the Ponoka Stampede July 1.
